However, I installed Diablo 2 (as I do on all my computers) and for some reason it seems to lag, especially bad when large mobs are on screen. This seems odd to me, as my laptop has shown it can handle much more intensive games, and I've had much weaker computers over the years that could run Diablo 2 perfectly fine. Battleping is a high speed Proxy tunnel which can help fix Diablo lag, latency and ping. Using Battleping will create an Diablo 2 tunnel connection between yourself and the Battleping server you have chosen. Game packets can be sent at a faster rate than normal. Your routing to the game servers will be different.
I've been having a problem running DII (and by extension Median) on my computer. It boots fine and even runs fine for the most part. However, I experience frequent frame skips (I don't know how else to describe it). The game seems to desync and then catch up quickly. I know that a more proper diagnosis would require more information than this, but I've tried running d2vidtest and switching to all three options available to me currently: DirectDraw, Direct3D, and Glide (Glide3-to-OpenGL Wrapper). I've also tried all three with -w (windowed mode), and in all cases I still experience these frame tears. I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium with Intel Core i5 (2.5 GHz) processor, 8GB of RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 3000 video (laptop video card).
